Savannah Destination Management owner and CEO Kristin Detwiler named "Event Planner of the Week"

Savannah Destination Management owner and Chief Executive Officer Kristin Detwiler is named "Event Planner of the Week" by the Savannah Networking Newsletter:

"Born and raised in Savannah, Kristin was destined to be an event planner since organizing a fabulous suprise birthday party for her MOM at age 10! Recently she transformed Old Fort Jackson into an exact replica of the TV SURVIVOR SHOW! Kristin holds a BS in Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Admin, from Univ. of SC. In Savannah Ms. Detwiler has served on the Board of Directors for the Tourism Leadership Council (TLC), Downtown Business Association (DBA) & Visit Savannah. In 2006 she was awarded "Member of the Year" by the TLC. Kristin is also a member of the world's largest event industry association: Meeting Professionals Int'l (MPI). Ms. Detwiler also teaches in the Hospitality Program at Savannah Technical College".
